Newly Eligible Hospital Resource Center
Effective August 2, 2010, a number of new categories of hospitals may enroll in the federal 340B drug discount program. This includes critical access hospitals, as well as some sole community hospitals, rural referral centers, and free-standing cancer hospitals. Hospitals and other providers enrolled in this program have access to steeply discounted outpatient pharmaceuticals; discounts range from 25-50%. Safety Net Hospitals for Pharmaceutical Access (SNHPA), a non-profit organization representing over 500 hospitals nationwide that participate in the 340B program, has assembled the resources below to provide members, prospective members and other interested parties with valuable information about everything from enrollment to advocacy. We also regularly host complimentary webinars and other events just for newly eligible hospitals.
