Why 340B Matters
Watch as hospital providers from across the country explain how access to 340B drug discounts enables their institutions to fulfill their safety net mission.
About Safety Net Hospitals for Pharmaceutical Access (SNHPA)
SNHPA represents close to 1,000 public and private nonprofit hospitals and health systems that participate in the 340B drug discount program. SNHPA was formed in 1993 to increase the affordability and accessibility of pharmaceutical care for the nation's poor and underserved populations. Our mission is to monitor, educate, and advocate on behalf of our members with respect to federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to 340B and related pharmacy matters.
Case Studies from the Heartland:
How 340B Helps Communities
SNHPA is proud to share case studies from the field that demonstrate how safety net hospitals expand and improve care for their indigent patients through 340B savings.
340B covered entities now have four 15-day periods per year in which to enroll themselves, their outpatient facilities, or their contract pharmacies in the 340B program, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced in the Federal Register.
SNHPA has put together a variety of resources related to the 340B program, including information related to program eligibility and registration, compliance requirements, and federal policies governing the program. Please note that SNHPA members have more resources available to them in the Members Only section. If you would like more information about becoming a SNHPA member, please visit our Membership section.
